Arturo Medina

Green Office Certification Program Lead Intern

Arturo is the Project Management Intern leading the Green Office Certification (GOC) Program. He is responsible for helping to promote sustainable practices and resource conservation throughout the campus community.

Arturo and his fellow student volunteers work with campus office staff to identify areas and opportunities where certain sustainable practices can be implemented or improved. Offices are encouraged to engage in more sustainable practices with the incentive of earning points towards higher office certification levels.

Arturo is a fourth-year student from Calexico, California with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Chemistry. He has been involved with the GOC Program since Spring 2019. Arturo has a passion for sustainability and is specifically interested in the field of renewable energy to find alternative forms that are sustainable and clean.

Outside the GOC Program, Arturo works on projects under Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) focusing on sustainable projects. Arturo spends his spare time playing video games, watching his favorite TV shows and playing music with friends.
