Project Management Intern and Inter-Sustainability Council President

Alex is a 4th year Electrical Engineering B.S., student intern at the Sustainability Office. He is a member of Engineers for a Sustainable World, previously working on the Solar Chill Project, and now on the Solar Car Project. He has been the Co-Chair of Green Talks for 2016 and 2017. Alex is currently developing the Inter-Sustainability Council, an effort to unite the organizations and departments of UC San Diego which promote environmental sustainability and social justice into a coalition that further educates and engages the UC San Diego community.

The ISC is still relatively young but has 20+ member organizations and is continuing to grow. The Inter-Sustainability Council hosts biweekly meetings with member organizations, quarterly mixers and annual events such as the RecyclemaniaFair, Green Talks, Sustainability Job Fair and the Sustainability Bazaar. Aside from school, Alex is a San Diego native and enjoys swimming, hiking, producing music and playing video games. He hopes to find a career in power systems/electronics that can improve the environment.
