Project Management Intern
Aidin is the Project Management Intern leading the Green Office Certification (GOC) Program. He is responsible for helping promote sustainable practices and resource conservation among campus offices.
The GOC Program goal is to increase sustainability awareness and promote conservation throughout the campus community while ensuring that UC San Diego remains a world leader in sustainability through certifying, recognizing and awarding green practices and efforts. Aidin and his fellow student volunteers work with campus office staff to identify areas and opportunities where certain sustainable practices can be implemented or improved, with the incentive of earning points toward certifying the office.
Aidin is a fifth-year student from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a major in Environmental Engineering and a minor in Business. He has been involved with the GOC Program since fall 2016. Aidin has a passion for sustainability and is specifically interested in renewable energy and its application in improving the well-being of rural communities while utilizing abundant and readily available resources in their local areas.
Outside the GOC Program, Aidin is a member of the UC San Diego Men’s Lacrosse Team and spends his spare time practicing lacrosse, working out, playing the guitar or being outdoors.
