Carbon Neutrality Initiative Research Fellow
Brian Dewaele-Dillon’s research project focuses on biomethane production using organic waste from UC San Diego facilities and the San Diego community. He aims to reduce both organic waste disposal costs and Scope 1 emissions (from natural gas combustion) by implementing an Anaerobic Digestion facility on campus.
Brian is a senior Environmental Systems major (Earth Science) with a minor in Economics. He is a member of the UC San Diego Surf Team, a traveling club sports team that competes against other California schools for the title of state champion.
